Dream Resistance of Fantasia is quickly becoming on my fave designer’s in Gor and boy, did she REPRESENT at Project Donate!  Dream retooled two of her existing Gorean/Fantasy Role Play inspired looks with a new color palette she has appropriately enough called flood, “harem” and “Riel”, and they are wonderful.

“Riel” is a wonderful full length gown that definitely fits in at any fantasy inspired RP sims or Gorean sims that allow Free Women to show a more revealing neck line.  I felt like “Buttercup” from the Princess Bride in this look – it just simply stunning.

I previously featured “harem” in my post about slaves of the Tahari and I simply can’t stop gushing over this design.  It makes me want to go put on I Dream of Jeanie hair and go dance in a bottle somewhere!  Honestly if I had to choose one outfit to wear in SL and one outfit only it would be “harem”.

This additional color palette on this look is stunning and I encourage all you slave/dancers in Gor to invest in this look for your Master’s pleasure.  It will not disappoint!

So check out Project Donate for these looks and the many others being offered.  The sim is officially open and will be through September 19th.  It will probably be very busy over the next couple days so don’t fret, you have plenty of time to shop.  So until next time, safe paths all.

Atomicbambi is known for her absolutely gorgeous sculpted flowers on her hair corsages but this “Body Vine” was too beautiful to pass up.  This look is one of her three offerings for the Project Donate/UNICEF fundraiser and it is simply wonderful.

In terms of role play or more specifically Gorean role play, this look could be adopted by either slave or even say a panther on her way to a fabulous moondance :) but it also screams Fae as well.  Yes I know, there are no Faes in Gor but I have been a bit remiss in not blogging other RP genres as of yet.

So feel the rapture in the “Body Vine” from Atomicbambi along with the knowledge that your purchase is out to help others in need.  Slurls for Project Donate will be posted tomorrow, so until then safe paths all.

Ladies of Gor, here is another reason you MUST shop Project Donate’s Unicef Pakistan Flood Crisis Benefit which begins this Saturday – the HAIR.  The Jarls of hair, Truth Hawks (Project Founder) of TRUTH and Kavar Cleanslate of Exile must have been channeling their inner Gorean when they designed these two looks.  So for your viewing pleasure, here is a sneak peak of “Aloha” from TRUTH and “Gemini 2″ from Exile.

RAWR, “Aloha” from Truth – long and flowing just like the slave girl or huntress likes her locks!  Truth is offering a few versions of the hair – super long as pictured here or a bit shorter if you prefer.  Both options also come with and without the shells. Come on ladies, who would dare say no to this look?

Well Hello Gorgeous or should I say instead well Hello “Gemini”, well “Gemini 2″ from Exile actually!  This look is simply LUSH.  “Gemini 2″ comes with this earthy, boho girl head band but if headbands aren’t your thing, a non-adorned option is available as well.

Ladies of Gor you NEED these looks in your Inventory ASAP, well on Saturday actually LOL.  They are made for us, well at least in my delusions of grandeur mind, so wear them well and wear them often. And with some of the proceeds going to this wonderful charity how can you say No?

The sim will be open for public access on Saturday so Slurls will be provided at that time.  So mark your calendars and get ready to shop for a good cause and for your avatar beautification needs!

Hair Fair starts this Saturday and I am so looking forward to all the goodies being released.  The fair will be a total of 4 sims this year with two sims each being connected.  So yes you may have to teleport from the first pair of sims to the next but, meh, crossing sim lines can be just as much of a pain as well!  All the info about the fair can be found here including more details about the charity being sponsored and sim arrangements.

I am going to digress a bit from my middle of the road/objective format I am wanting for this blog to say a bit about charities in SL.  I believe a charity should not be forced upon anyone for a fair attendance or participation in which the primary focus of the event is content.  If you as an attendee do not feel comfortable supporting a chosen charity keep in mind not all the items may go to the charity and you don’t have to purchase a dedicated charity item.  Contact the creator and see if the item may be available at a later date, but please still attend the fair if you can.  In the end, these fairs i.e hair fair, shoe fair, skin fair, really are about the content creators and helping them get their names out there.

The fair organizers have done a great job with this event and have a passion for the charity they are sponsoring.  I have looked into the charity myself, Wigs for Kids, and it really seems as though it is the founder’s, Jeffrey Paul, baby and personal cause.  His story can be found hereLuna Jubilee over on her blog last night provided more details about the charity as well.  So you as a shopper have the choice to give or not and if you don’t feel comfortable about a charity at any content-focused event, then go instead for the creators and the organizers in support of their time, effort and dedication to the event.

So mark your calendars for the start of the hair fair Saturday.  Once SLurls are available I will publish them here.  Oh one last thing, the organizers have formed a Hair Fair Demo Group that you can join to obtain demos sent out by the creators.  For more info on the inworld demo group click here.  In the meantime, safe paths all and happy role playing!!

My friend Gogo over at Juicybomb dropped a notecard on me this morning about an event being planned to help benefit the UNICEF Pakistan Flood Crisis.  In the past in my other SLives, I have supported a couple charities I felt strongly about namely Relay For Life and Operation Squeegee.  So when Gogo told me about this endeavor, I was all about it.   Here is the info from the notecards for your consideration penned by Truth Hawks of Truth:

UNICEF Pakistan Flood Crisis Fund  4 – 19 September 2010

http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/pakistan_55713.html

Dear lovely SL merchant! <3

I know this is very short notice but this may be something we can do on a regular and ongoing basis. UNICEF are currently raising funds for the Pakistan Flood Crisis. Millions of people have been affected and thousands are without homes.

If you’d like to be part of this fund raising effort you could donate all or part of the proceeds of an item/s (I’d like to request at least 50% of your item/s – can be exclusive, existing, discounted whatever you like!) The point is to raise as much money as we can in the 2 week period.

I will be donating 100% of the proceeds of one hairstyle and doubling the amount raised off my item to go towards this cause.  I’ll advertise the fund through my update group and list all the merchants involved. I have ordered a sim “Project Donate” from which you will vend your items (in addition to your own locations). You are free to landmark to your own stores from this location which will be entirely removed from my own sim.

I’ve created an account “Unicef Rainfall” which will collect the proceeds. Once you confirm you’d like to participate I’ll send out all necessary split scripts etc. You will also need a group space available to place your item/s.

Thank you for considering and hope to have you on board!

If you’d like to move forward just send Unicef Rainfall a notecard with your name, store, landmark…sorry this is all a bit informal at the moment :P
