LAQ Saga
Saga from Laqroki, another skin that made me smile, was released over the weekend. I have been a fan of Mallory Cowen since my noob days in SL. In fact, my first high dollar purchase in SL was Drew back in 2007 when the brand was called RaC.  Since then, I have stuck with Ms. Cowen through thick and thin and given her a good amount of L I should say!  No one can deny that  the quality of her work has been consistent over the years, along with her releases continuing to be original and inventive.

There are a few things though I would change about her latest releases if it was all possible though. First is the lack of eyebrow colors:  I am normally a Ginger and I was quite sad that red brows weren’t an option.  Secondly the face is still rather young. Yes I know, youthfulness is in but I would like to see some great quality skins like this that scream late twenties perhaps.  Lastly, the nose needs to be tweaked just a bit; as a friend pointed out, the nostrils are a bit red.

Overall I love this skin and can see myself wearing it on a regular basis.  Because of Saga, I cannot wait to see what else Mallory releases with her new “Essentials” line.  Okay that’s it for now, so take care my friends and have a great Second Life!

I have to be honest – I am not a big fan anymore of Fairs in SL. Doesn’t matter what it’s for, skin, hair, cats, balding 45 year old men in need a a little sumpin, sumpin, I will avoid a fair like the plague.  There are way too many vendors for me personally, too much lag and too many people bitching about ARC.  I really miss the smaller events of the past.  But when I saw Kiera Seerose feature Mynerva’s new release “Kianna” I decided to just deal with the whole drama of trying to get in and then finding the booth (which I did with the help of my friend Bree Quingly) because I liked the skin that much!

I am also extremely picky when it comes to skins which is why I rarely do skin reviews.  Honestly it has very little do to with the quality of the skin but more so the way the skin makes me feel.  So because of this, generally I fall in slove with three or four lines and stick with them for a considerable length of time (League, Laqroki and Tres Blah being the two longest) and now Mynerva happens to be one of these lines.  I like the crispness of the face, the pout and quality of the mouth and furthermore the designer, Rhapsody Wilde, has provided me with great customer service in the past.  Kianna is simply lovely.

Kianna is currently available at the Vanity Universe Skin Fair which is open till March 6th.  So demo if you dare at the fair or wait till it’s over on the 7th, LOL.

I so needed a new a new updo for my new role as a Free Woman in the City of Treve and Truth must have read my mind!  This new look, “Amelie”, comes with not only the usual streaked option, but flowers too!  But for this photo I have the flowers turned off cause, *sigh*, they didn’t really match my dress.  Any who, be sure and check this new do out along with the other two new releases, “Tegan” and “Tegan 2″ – they are all so fab.

Now my dress, +Lika Ruby+ china dress long(black) is not a new release but I spied it on an adorable resident of the new Pani sim and I had to have it in my SLife! So many thanks to LittleAlt Resident for letting me steal her look.

The Gorean Free Woman – not only do they demand attention when they speak, but also in their manner of dress. The gowns featured here are only a handful of all the offerings at Arwen’s.  Because of the intricacy of her designs, Arwen generally only has new releases one to two times a month.  And as added kudo, 99% of her textures are made by scratch by her lovely hands.   YAY for originals.  So I hope you enjoyed today’s “where to shop” and in closing, safe paths all and happy role playing.

This is my very first Redgrave skin ever and I am in love!  Sweet, freckled faced”Jessica” is designed for the lovely redheaded and light haired women of SL and for those that admire them, I should say.  The skin comes in two versions (each sold separately) – opened lips and normal lips with the fatpack featuring 12 different makeups.  From the minute I tried the demo I knew I had to have “Jessica” in my life, *sigh*.
